Christina Blackketter

SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

Christina started at HIF in April 2023 as a Housing Program Manager. Currently, Christina manages both the Renovation Program and the Affordable Housing Initiative program, which includes assessing and reviewing applications, collaboration with donors and partners, rent collection, data collection, and community outreach. In her time at HIF, Christina has conducted survey outreach, created efficient reporting and communication tracking systems, implemented new program policies, and conducted training and informational sessions.

Christina has a BA in social work with a minor in psychology from Central Connecticut State University. Christina graduated Cum Laude, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society as well as the Phi Alpha Honor Society of Social Work. Christina completed multiple internships as well as volunteer opportunities throughout her undergraduate degree.

After graduating with her BSW, she went on to work in special education, as a Behavioral Interventionist Technician. After 2 years in education, Christina was offered a position with the State of Connecticut, as a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Families. She was there for almost 4 years, before moving to California. After working in case management for almost 6 years, Christina transitioned away from case management into program management. “Instead of referring clients to these services, I wanted to create and improve the services and programs that are needed.”

Christina has goals of attending graduate school and obtaining her MSW. Christina is also interested in policies and the “bigger picture” in programs, wanting to create and tailor services to populations in need.
