Steve has over 20 years of leadership experience helping to build and revitalize diverse nonprofits focused on poverty alleviation, leadership development, and community engagement. Steve has been the executive director of the Housing Industry Foundation since 2019.

Barbie Csore

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Barbie has over 13 years of operations and HR management experience, and a Masters in Business Administration. Barbie has worked for multiple medical device companies and property management companies before transitioning into nonprofit work.

Amanda Edwards

EVENTS MANAGER
Joined 2020
Amanda first came to HIF in 2020, just a couple weeks after the COVID-19 shelter-in-place, from a varied background of non-profit work, events, archaeology, and academia. She initially started in programs, helping run the EHF program in a time of greatly increased demand for our programs.

Christina Blackketter

SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

Christina started at HIF in April 2023 and now manages both the Renovation Program and the Affordable Housing Initiative program, which includes assessing and reviewing applications, collaboration with donors and partners, rent collection, data collection, and community outreach.

Jennifer Jansen MacDermott

With over 30 years of experience in program and project management, Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to her role. Since joining HIF, Jennifer has actively engaged in agency outreach, strengthening relationships with partner organizations.

Brandi Wilson

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Brandi joined HIF in July 2024 as the Operations Manager. New to the nonprofit sector, Brandi brings over a decade of diverse experience in office and financial management, gained through her work in healthcare, collision repair, and construction—all in small business settings.

Breigha Sawyer

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Joined 2025
Breigha Sawyer is a passionate grant writer and fundraiser with a strong dedication to nonprofit development. Over the years, she has collaborated with a diverse range of organizations including homeless services, and more recently a farming education program in the Bay Area.
