Unity Care’s housing programs provide current and former foster youth (including probation youth), ages 16-21 with safe, secure and affordable housing while they focus on their emotional well-being and education and employment goals.
Thanks to your Corporate Champions (and long-time board members) AvalonBay Communities and IBI, Inc. HIF was able to transform a youth foster home in South San Francisco, helping to provide a warm, modern and positive living environment for foster youth and the Unity Care staff. Through the tremendous support of AvalonBay and IBI as well as CORT Furniture, Varsity Painting, Kelly Moore Paints, Pacific Home Décor, DalTile, A Touch of Stone, Pro-Floors, Golden State Lumber, NE Electric and Home Depot we completed the following work:
- Gut rebab kitchen w/new appliances
- New living room and entertainment center
- Installed computer work stations
- New flooring
- New can lighting throughout
- Full interior painting
- Bathroom rehab
- All new doors
- Delivered new living room, dining room, bedroom and office furniture
- Constructed raised garden beds
