Through private and corporate support and rent donations from housing providers, HIF employs funds where they are needed most.
This includes almost 10,000 children.
HIF leverages $2 of in kind support for every $1 we invest to help agencies preserve critical funds for programs that serve the community.
HIF prevents homelessness by mobilizing the talent and resources of the Multifamily Housing Industry to create direct impact for households and individuals in need through: Emergency financial support, the renovation of community shelters and access to affordable housing.
Our Programs
Emergency Housing Fund
Grants up to $2,500 to cover rent, security deposits, and utility bills that prevent people from experiencing homelessness.
Renovation Program
Projects at partner organizations that create safe and secure environments for people on the path to housing stability.
Affordable Housing Initiative
Apartments at up to 50% below market rate that prevent community workers from being displaced.
