REHAB PROJECTS
Transitional Housing in Cupertino
West Valley Community Services (WVCS) operates a transitional housing program consisting of four townhouses that provide housing for 12 single men and six women with young children. Residents may stay up to two years, paying 30% of their income for rent, while they take the necessary steps to gain self-sufficiency. Although CCS has adequately maintained the units during the ten years it has owned them, the appliances were failing, the kitchens and bathrooms were worn out and the landscaping was scruffy. HIF corrected all of these problems, giving the residents a more suitable place to live. All of the material and labor for this project was donated by local businesses.
