Short-term Temporary Housing for Families

Redwood Family House in Redwood City is a short-term transitional housing program operated by Shelter Network of San Mateo County. The program provides temporary housing and comprehensive, on-site support services for up to nine previously homeless families at any given time in one-bedroom apartments. Adult residents are assigned chores to help maintain a hospitable environment, and families prepare their own meals from a fully stocked pantry. This program is designed for families that can quickly stabilize their economic situation and move on the permanent housing elsewhere. HIF assisted by fully refurbishing four of the units.
