Shared Housing for Seniors

Senior Housing Solutions (SHS), formerly Project Match, has been helping very low-income senior citizens with affordable housing for 27 years. The Senior Group Residence Program provides shared housing for independently functioning seniors in eight single family homes in Santa Clara County. A social worker assists the residents in their group living environment and helps them gain access to needed social and health services.

SHS recently acquired a five-bedroom house in Milpitas and remodeled it extensively to make it suitable for seniors. HIF assisted by providing the landscaping, both front and back. This project was accomplished as an in-kind donation, with no cash out-of-pocket for HIF.
