Homeless Veterans

HIF has partnered with the Homeless Veteran Emergency Housing Facility since before it opened seven years ago. The shelter recently acquired more space – enough to add beds for another 40 to 50 veterans. HIF agreed to restructure and prepare the space, and to provide the furniture and beds. A highlight of this project was a Paint Day, when 20 volunteers and eight professional painters gave the entire space a fresh coat of paint. Never short on enthusiasm or commitment, shelter residents participated in the project.

Over 3,000 homeless veterans have found shelter and received services at this facility.

We are proud to help those who have served our country and we applaud the Veterans Administration and the Homeless Veterans Emergency Housing Facility for providing these much needed services.
