The Housing Industry Foundation believes people shouldn’t lose their home because they fall on hard times or are poor. Every day, we fund emergency grants for the working poor to remain in their homes or return to stable housing because everyone deserves a home.

Since 1989, HIF has prevented 5,089 households from homelessness with individual emergency housing grants totaling almost $4 million and leveraged $1M cash with $1.3M in-kind dollars completing 74 renovation projects to improve the quality of life for 49 exclusive nonprofit shelter facilities.
